Miracles Are Messy!

We are in a corporate miracle zone at Faith Tabernacle Shreveport and amazing things are happening!
We have begun the transformation of our main sanctuary and will be moving into our SW Young family Center tonight...It's gonna be a little strange worshiping in our gym and there may be some logistical difficulties, but in Scripture miracles were often messy!
I am choosing to celebrate the miracle  instead of worrying about the mess it may cause in the process. We have revamped our gym into a temporary worship center as well as redesigned our KidZone building this year, so we may as well continue!
In the next few weeks you will see Major changes as we prepare for the future of our community...We are transitioning into becoming Faith Community Church in these next few weeks and you will begin to notice the new signage and website changes.We are keeping the heritage and identity of Faith,while progressing into a more culturally relevant identity.
We are striving to be a true new Testament (koinonia) community, so we are excited about the re-branding and re-model of Faith Community Church! We are believing that The Best is  Yet to Come! Please come experience the excitement of our progress these next few weeks...it may be messy, but it will sure be worth it!

Miracle/Healing Services

      I am so excited about the amazing miracles that have been happening among the FT Community the last few weeks...Bones have straightened, legs have lengthened, ears have opened, cancers have been healed and over 100 testimonies of God's grace in just the last few weeks.
I have been in ministry most of my life and am sensing the birthing of a revival  of the miraculous that is unprecedented since the Book of Acts! I honestly believe we are on the brink of a world-wide resurgence of the true New testament Church...We are hearing reports of renewal and revival from all around the Globe that we have prayed for and preached prophetically for years. THIS IS THAT!!!
     A few weeks ago I was introduced to an amazing man of God who pastors a Southern Baptist Church in Pollock, Louisiana, Dr.Don Litton.Our missionary in Brazil had told me of the amazing miracles that had happened during his last visit to Brazil...Over 40 deaf ears opened,blind eyes opened, the lame and crippled healed instantly as well as 100's of other amazing miracles to the Power of the Cross!
     I asked Dr Litton to visit FT a few weeks ago and we were so hungry for more of Jesus that over 200 showed up for a Monday night Prayer meeting...It was amazing! We have never experienced such a manifestation of miracles in 1 service...So this week we are continuing the meeting Sunday and Monday. There is an excitement building that I believe is only a precursor of things to come.
Many of you have asked about when to visit FT and I am inviting you to come be a part of what may be one of the greatest miracle weekends you have ever experienced!

Easter In The Park

We are gearing up for our HUGE Easter events in April...You will be hearing a lot in the next few weeks about our "Easter @ the Park"event April 16th, that will be a FT Community event reaching into the Blanchard area at the Blanchard Polk Salad Park. This will be a free Community wide event with food/games/concerts/ for all ages and diverse taste including a "Branson"style country jamboree with our very own Wanda Ruff organizing local performers as well as a free Gospel concert with the award winning "Music City Trio" from Nashville,Tn.
There will aslo lots be kids rides and activities from Duval's rentals as well as our Annual Easter Egg Hunt! Did I mention food and fun? This will be a time of fun and fellowship for the entire Blanchard community and we are having yard signs printed for those who live in this community to help us advertise this FT event...Also Sunday the17th will be our"Friends Day" celebration with a concert by "Music City" again at the 10:00am worship service! We are inviting all of our friends and family members for this special time of fellowship at FT in preparation for our Easter Sunday Resurrection Celebration!
Are you excited yet? We can't wait to see you at Faith Tabernacle to experience the atmosphere of a Christiam Koinonia that's endeavoring to become "a Spirit-Filled,Spirit-Led, Christ-Like Community"!
 

Next Level Principles

We are entering into a new sermon series called "Next Level Principles". I  am so excited about believers who are tired of the mundane and ordinary and want to return to true new Testament Christianity. Jesus said we are to be salt and light....and that's a big deal! We have been chosen to change the environment and atmosphere of our culture daily as we are in the world ,but not of it...John Mason says "Mediocrity is a region bounded on the North by Compromise,on the South by Indecision,on the East by past  thinking and on the West by lack of Vision".
In prayer and study this past week i discovered 7 prerequistes for going forward in life as a blessed believer...there may be more,but I am certain of these 7.

45th Anniversary

Dear FT Community,

Wow...Is it really almost Valentines Day? OK, no comment from the cheap seats,but am I getting older or  rather are the days truly getting shorter?

There is so much about to be going on the next couple of weeks that even though most has been in our weekly Messenger I wanted to write just to make sure everyone was on the same page...It seems as if time is truly flying this year and we are running as hard as we can to catch up.

FYI...If you missed the Super-Bowl Party Sunday night...it was awesome! We counted over 100 that decided to just hang out together and there was so much food and fun fellowship that we may need to go on another fast soon. As always, Donnie and Wanda Ruff did an amazing job and there was something for everyone....and yes, although I hate to mention it the Packers did WIN!

 

This week is full of Koinonia opportunities as  we have our Valentines Couples Dinner @ Cypress Inn Saturday @ 4pm as well as our JOY Club Valentines Party @ 6pm in our FT Family Life Center where I know there will be lots of food,fun and fellowship for our "more mature" middle-aged group...lol. Remember J.O.Y. stands for Just Older Youth!

Then Sunday will be all about falling in love with Jesus and the amazing depth of God's AGAPE' love to mankind...Our services have been great these last few weeks and it seems as if we have been growing since before Christmas even though many of our regulars have been out with various virus/colds and flu...Let's push to have a full  house Sunday to show our love for our Savior!

 

Then next week is a time of celebration for us all as we recognize the amazing ministries of our Bishop and First Lady Young and the 45th Anniversary of Faith Tabernacle New Testament Church..."A Church Built on Faith"!

Bro. and Sis. Young have been amazing examples in ministry, marriage and life...many can preach Truth but few who can live it and share it by example as the Youngs!

So next Sunday we will be celebrating as those who have benefitted from the lives and ministries of these faithful warriors of the Cross as well as the many ministries that have existed and been birthed out of Faith Tabernacle these last 45 years.

What is amazing is that we have many that have been here since the beginning and many who have been in FT all of their lives...These are those we want to celebrate as well! It's gonna be great...You don't want to miss it!!!

Momentum

Well, it looks like momentum really is building as we are already finishing the first month of 2011!
We had 67 @ Reverse Church's kick-off service and it was amazing...The worship was incredible and our younger FT crowd were totally engaged in the presence of the Lord and actually didn't act like they wanted to leave the incredible atmosphere of liberty that we all could all sense and enjoy! Thanks so much to "Jesus Jacket Band" and Jarret,Clyde and Jeremy along with all the other volunteers that made this a great event! 

We have been waiting with anticipation for the return of the ministry of our friend from Zimbabwe'..Apostle David Hendrickes. He will be ministering Friday night in our Breakthrough Prayer/Worship concert we call BURN. This will be a season of miracles,signs and wonders and you want to experience this level of prophetic ministry as we prepare for what's in store next for the Faith tabernacle Shreveport Community!hen saturday afternoon @ 5pm all Dept.Leaders,volunteers,ministry team,Elders and teachers will be meeting for our  Chazown2011 Vision casting/Planning session...This is where all leaders and those involved in all the various ministries of FT come together to dream,synergize and organize for the events and direction of our FT Community.As Bishop Young has been saying..."the best is yet to come"!
 
To prepare for this weekend we are asking every member of FT to attend at least 1 service during the week as we continue to fast and pray for guidance and wisdom from the King of Glory....Starting tonight with our Soaking Service all the way through our Sunday services with Apostle Hendrickes,I am believing this is a week of Divine Destiny, Kingdom Alignment and  time where Faith is coming to fruition!

Where to From Here?

Can you believe it's already the first week of the New Year? 2011 has come in with a vengeance and the King of Glory is establishing His Kingdom! Miracles,signs and wonders are breaking out all around the globe and it is such an exciting time to be a part of true New Testament Christianity...I have never been more excited to be a part of  Faith Tabernacle New Testament Church. We are prophetically positioned and poised for the fullfillment of 45 years of prophecy and destiny!
 
The Word of the Lord for our local community this year is:
 
I) Excellence; We are re-evaluating every ministry and program @ FTShreveport and focusing on excellence in all area's,specifically our corporate worship services....
 
II) Elevation; as we excell in our basics  we will go to the next level which will elevate our existing ministries and outreaches...
 
III) Exposure; once we are elevated to the next level of excellence we are going to be exposed to the hurting and hungry of our region that are searching for a true balanced prophetic house...
 
To prepare for this season of excelleration we will be beginning our "First Fruit Fast" Sundy the 9th. This will be a 21 day period of corporate fasting what many have termed a Daniels Fast...We will be having the FT prayer room open every night during these 3 weeks...and the last week we will be having "Soaking Prayer" every night with an explosive ending on friday night. We will be having a 6 hr. prayer/soaking/worship experience from 6pm to midnight with the amazing ministry of Apostle  David Hendrickes  from Zimbabwe'.
 
Remember, The Best is Yet to Come!

What is the Lord Speaking to you?

Dear FT Community,
Once again, I am overcome with gratitude with the blessings of the Lord! What a great week this has been with even more praise and miracle reports coming last night...Although it was only a simple Bible Class last night the presence of the Lord was almost tangible...something special is in the atmosphere! Can you feel it? What is the Lord speaking to you?
Last night we dealt with finding ones path after or during major transitions in life, ministry,family,health, finances or even Church and career.... There is nothing more draining and harmful to the emotional and physical health of an individual than unresolved issues of loss,relationships, belief systems, and the demographic changes that come inadvertently through transition and change. Change for many is a "dirty" word because of the pain past transitions have caused!
Remember the beginning of healing and going forward in life and ministry if rediscovering your passion and unique calling/ place in the Body of Christ.
1) Who are you?
2) What do you believe?
3) How will you worship?
4) Who will you worship with?
These are very simple questions that can help identify the steps you need to take to answer the frustrations of transitions. 
 
I believe many of us are just now in position for the Prophetic Release upon our lives...I refuse to be so full of "LIFE" that I miss the moment of Divine Visitation! there is room in the Inn for MORE of JESUS!!!

Miracles @ Christmas

What an amazing explosion of the miraculous power of Jesus we are experiencing in our FT Koinonia! Wow! Cancer has been documentedly healed, blockages are cleared, tumors have disapeared and there have been instant creative miracles we have all witnessed in our services just since last Wednesday evening! What began as just an ordinary Wedneday night became an amazing healing service that has continued to bring in praise reports all week!
There is room for the Miracle of Jesus at Faith Tabernacle this Holiday Season...Jesus is still the Reason for the Season and we will stop everything to celebrate His Presence and Glory! His Presence is a place..."In His Presence there is fullness of Joy" and I want to live in that very special place year round...the Apostle Paul said..."In Him I live, I breathe, I have my very being". Joy to the world...the Lord is come!

WE ARE WANTING MORE THAN A FEELING!

Dear Community,
Just wanting to make sure all FT Couples and friends know about the Bowling Contest between the men and women tomorrow evening @ 6pm...It's going to be a great time of fellowship and fun as we experience koinonia outside the 4 walls of our sanctuary!
 
Also our youth will be having a great event at Glo Putz w/ pizza meeting Sat @ 5pm at the Church...
 
In this time of seeking for an Awakening in our Church and Community I would also invite anyone who feels led to meet me Sat night @ 9pm for revival and repentance prayer...There is a brooding of the Holy Spirit over our hearts since last Sunday and we want MORE of the Glory of the Lord in our midst!
 
WE ARE WANTING MORE THAN A FEELING!
 
1)REFOCUS- Are you living for the Lord(Master) or just asking God to bless your own will?
 
2)REPENT-Paul says"Do not conform to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God!"
 
 
3)REMEMBER- "The Lord Reigns!"
 
4)RECONNECT-"Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind . soul and strength"
 
5)REALIGN- By emphasizing God's Kingship,His rule over all creation, and His impeccable character we intentional create space for the Most High
 
6)REDISCOVER- Let's rediscover the unleashed, all-powerful God!
 
These are just a few thoughts to ponder in your prayers...The Holy Spirit is leading us to somewhere new and I for I want to go!!!
